VERNA L. ROSE

Verna L. Rose, 86, of the Point Place community, of Toledo, passed away on Friday, June 4, 2021, at her home.

She was born August 24, 1934, in Cleveland, to James and Flora (Dellabona) Carnes.

Verna enjoyed reading, spending Saturday afternoons with her “CooCoo” sisters, loved her grandchildren staying for overnights, and attending many of their school events.

She is survived by her son, Mark Rose; daughter, Lisa (Kim) Harter; grandchildren, Rachael, Shane, Jonathan, Lilly, Kristen and Julia; siblings, Jean McNeely and James (Judi) Carnes, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Flora; a brother, Patrick, and sisters, Nancy Edelman, Joann Sawyer and Sally Bradley.

A memorial visitation was held from 4 to 6 p.m., on Wednesday, June 9, at David R. Jasin-Hoening Funeral Home, 5300 N. Summit Street, Toledo. Services followed at 6 p.m., in the funeral home, with grandson-in-law, Josh Kelly, officiating.
