Linda M. Sagert, 77, of Toledo’s Point Place community, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 25, 2022, at Traditions at West Park Place, Toledo. Someone said God apparently needed some humor in Heaven, which we will all miss here on earth.

She was born February 27, 1945, in Toledo, to Harold V. and Mary M. (Miller) Bettinger.

A graduate of Swanton High School, Linda was an artist who enjoyed painting and has many beautiful pictures to prove her love of the art. She was an interior decorator and sales woman for 20--plus years, in her leisure she also enjoyed golfing.

She loved her nieces and nephews, to whom she was adoringly known as “The Jelly Queen,” as a result of her love for canning. She was very loving, giving and caring. Linda never failed to entertain and put smiles on their faces.

Surviving are her siblings, Tony (Teresa) Bettinger, Vicki (Terry) Snyder and Debra (R.D.) Hilton; sister-inlaw, Suzanne Bettinger; 10 nieces and nephews; 18 greatnieces and nephews; and “Pickles” her cat. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Mary Bettinger; husband, Paul Sagert; brother, William Bettinger, and niece, Jennifer Bettinger.

Memorial visitation will be Friday, September 16, from 10 to 11 a.m., at Marygrove Immaculate Conception Church, 1750 North Raab Road, Swanton, with services to follow at 11 a.m., at the church.
