Denise Lynn Bajas, 63, of Point Place passed away on Sunday morning, June 20, 2021, at ProMedica Toledo Hospital. Denise passed following a hard battle with cancer, and like the warrior she was, she fought until the very end.

Denise was born February 12, 1958, in Toledo, to Charles and Joyce Werley. She was a great and loving wife and mother, who dedicated her life to her family. Denise had a smile and a ∏ presence that would light up a room when she entered. She had endless ongoing energy that radiated to everyone she knew and was around. All in all, Denise loved life more than words can describe.

Denise loved the outdoors, traveling, boating and being out in the beautiful sunshine, while producing and experiencing great love and laughter with all her friends and family who she was constantly around. She was a proud member of Outings Unlimited Club and enjoyed being a part of the yacht club community, where she was welcomed and enjoyed talking with everyone. Denise was a beautiful and wonderful woman who will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 28 years, John L. Bajas; children, Danielle Croley, Nicole (Dave) Sterger, Thomas (Holly) Sterger and Chelsea (Jeremy) Roy; her mother, Joyce (Mike) Ray; father, Charles (Sheila) Werley; siblings, Debbie (Jim) Leroux, Mark (Gail) Werley ∏ and Melody (Tony) Peroski; seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, and her “fur babies,” Bella and Beau.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Frank and Pauline Panchot.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m., on Sunday, June 27, at David R. Jasin-Hoening Funeral Home, 5300 N. Summit Street, Toledo, where a wake service will begin at 7 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m., on Monday, June 28, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 5153 N. Summit Street, Toledo, with an hour of visitation prior at the church.

Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Toledo.

The family would like to thank the medical staff who was involved in helping her through her fight.
