The Friendship Park Community Center 2024 executive board and board members were elected on December 13. They are John Burgan, president; Joyce Ejhinger, vice president; Kris Shawen, secretary and Debbie Fritz, treasurer The board of control remains the same. Members are Gloria Godwin, Lillian Katko, Mary Lichtenwald, Marylyn Lucas, Janet McPherson, Robert Placencio, Vera Placencio, Marilyn Ritter, Fran Rowe, David Shawen, Kris Shawen, Steven Toda and Tammy Toda.

The Ability Center of Greater Toledo has released the results of a comprehensive survey highlighting the critical need for enhanced passenger rail services in northwest Ohio. The survey, conducted between April and June 2023, received more than 500 responses, revealing a strong demand for improved passenger rail connectivity, especially among residents with disabilities.
Hospice of Northwest Ohio seeking hair care volunteers

Hospice of Northwest Ohio is in need of volunteers who are a licensed hairdresser or barber. Hair care volunteers provide basic haircuts only for patients living in their homes or at nursing homes throughout Wood, Lucas, Fulton, Henry, Ottawa and Monroe counties.
