Frühlingsfest, a German family celebration of spring, has been scheduled for Friday, April 26, from 6 to 9 p.m. Friendship Park Community Center has a history of celebrating different heritages by hosting dinners.

TARTA is providing riders with access to area events, including the Mercy Health Glass City Marathon. TARTA will provide transportation to the University of Toledo beginning at 5 a.m.

The City of Toledo shared the 2024 schedule of Clean Toledo recycling events, offering free refuse and recycling drop-off events for Toledo residents. Acceptable items include electronic waste, including TVs and CRT TVs and monitors; up to 10 tires, on or off the rim, but no commercial tires; document shredding and recycling; bulky items; cardboard, refuse.

The Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission’s new toll collection system is nearing the final stages of completion. The switch to the new system–which began last year–will be phased in gradually over the next several weeks.
