Mercy Health, in its acquisition of the McLaren St. Luke’s facilities after their closing earlier this year, has welcomed multiple neurosurgeons to their organization.

On June 14, several tornadoes passed through northwest Ohio—affecting the Point Place area. Republic Services has been working with the city to help clear up damage caused by these storms. Now, Republic Services will be back to regularly scheduled service for the Point Place area—trash will be collected on Wednesdays, and bulk items will return to one pickup request per month, which will occur the day after regularly scheduled service days.

The Toledo area assumed a role on the global sports stage July 1 when the Italian Bowl played before a mix of local and international spectators at the University of Toledo Glass Bowl. The game is the Italian equivalent of the Super Bowl for the Italian Football League, a professional league that plays American-style football.
