KARI LYNN FARR
Beloved wife, mother, nana, daughter and sister, Kari Lynn Farr, 58, of Indianapolis, Indiana, entered into eternal rest the morning of May 11, 2020.
She was born to parents, Thomas and Sandra Myles, on July 10, 1961, in Toledo, Ohio.
She graduated from Rossford High School in 1979 and continued her education at Ohio State Barber College, where she earned her license.
Kari met her husband, David, in 1977, while they were teenagers. They were married on October 18, 1980, in Toledo, Ohio. Together they built a beautiful life and raised two daughters, who absolutely adored their mother.
Kari is survived by her family, who will miss her immensely, including her husband, David of Indianapolis, Indiana; her daughter, Randi Tolbert and son-in-law, Tony of Indianapolis, Indiana; her daughter, Nicole Rohrbaugh and son-in-law, Aaron of Wapakoneta, Ohio; her grandson, Carson Tolbert; her mother, Sandra Myles of Rossford, Ohio; her brother, Kent Myles and sister-in-law Ann of Sylvania, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Myles.
Throughout her life she often focused on ways she could be a blessing to others. She coached softball, led various youth groups, was a member of the Optimist Club, worked as an instructional assistant at Hendricks Elementary and most recently volunteered weekly at her grandson’s school. Kari and her husband also poured themselves into running Sanctuary of Shelbyville for 10 years.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, serving others, and making good use of her green thumb. Her grandson was the light of her life, and she was happiest when watching him play ball, playing board games against him or having fun experiences alongside him.
The family has entrusted Wilson St. Pierre in Greenwood, Indiana, with the arrangements. A memorial service for friends and family will be held at a later date. Should friends desire, contributions may be made in Kari’s honor to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
