Twp. trustees review annual police report

At the February 6 meeting, the Perrysburg Township trustees reviewed the 2018 annual report submitted by Police Chief Mark Hetrick.

Last year, the department handled 18,761 incidents. The calls by volume were dwelling checks, 5,010; traffic stops, 2,655; incidents, 1,361; alarms, 643; traffic crashes, 541; theft, 228; drugs, 177; suspicious activity, 136; fraud, 115; overdoses, 27; burglary, 19; breaking and entering, 11, and forgery, two.

Crimes of violence were broken into three categories: menacing/harassment, 64; domestic, 63, and assaults, 18.

“Officers used Narcan on four different occasions during overdose situations,” the chief said.
