District will not shut off service
The Northwestern Water and Sewer District is emphasizing that the drinking water supply is not in danger from the coronavirus epidemic.
“COVID-19 is not impacting our water supply. According to the World Health Organization, Center for Disease Control, and Water Environment Federation, there is no evidence that COVID-19 is present in or being transmitted by drinking water supplies,” said Jerry Greiner, district president.
The district is actively monitoring COVID-19 updates and is working closely with state and local health partners to ensure the safety of employees and the public, he noted.
