LEBOR advocates raise $6,000 in crowdfunding
The Community Environmental Legal Defense Fund (CELDF) has set up a crowdfunding page to support the defense of the Lake Erie Bill of Rights (LEBOR) in court.
The nonprofit, public advocacy law firm set up a funding page on CrowdJustice, a website that accepts monetary donations from the public—similar to GoFundMe—for legal causes. CELDF established the page on April 15 and, by day three, had accumulated more than $6,000 from 137 donations. As of April 18, the firm was attempting to reach a stretch goal of $8,000.
