Architects, school board seek feedback at July 27 tent meeting

UPDATE: The community meeting for Shoreland Elementary has been rescheduled. It will now be held Monday, August 10, at 6 p.m. The Wernert-Jackman Elementary meeting will still be held Monday, August 3.

While the COVID-19 pandemic has changed and postponed numerous plans, Washington Local Schools is still on track to build new facilities for Shoreland Elementary and Wernert-Jackman Elementary.

A major part of these projects is getting as much community input as possible. Students, families, faculty and other residents will get the first of several opportunities to share their ideas next week.

The board of education will host two community meetings covering the projects and giving residents an opportunity to speak directly with the team from the Collaborative, the architectural firm in charge of the rebuilds.
