Richard S. Lowry, 93, of Perrysburg, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2018. He was born June 26, 1925, in Toledo, to the late Henry F. and Florence (LaBounty) Lowry.
Richard was a beloved member of First United Methodist Church. He enjoyed gun collecting, being a member of the Maumee Valley Gun Collectors, and watching NASCAR races. He also was a member of the Masonic Phoenix Lodge, as well as the American Legion Post in Perrysburg. Lastly, Richard was a lifetime member of the Adams Conservation Club.
Left to cherish Richard’s memory is his loving wife of 53 years, Joann (Evans) Lowry; children, Steven (Denise) Lowry and Sue Machaterre; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Lowry, and sister-in-law, Marie Snyder.
Friends were received Friday, January 4, from 2 to 8 p.m., at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 East South Boundary Street, Perrysburg, Ohio 43551 (419-874-3133), where a Masonic Service will take place at 7 p.m. Funeral services were held Saturday, January 5, at 11 a.m., at the funeral home. Burial was in Fort Meigs Cemetery.
