Twp. trustees seek cooperation from Perrysburg in regional water costs
As area communities debate whether to participate in the regional water agreement, Perrysburg Township is seeking to use the plan to make changes to its 99-year agreement with the City of Perrysburg.
At the September 18 meeting, Trustee Bob Mack said he wrote a letter to Councilman Jonathan Smith, who chairs the city’s public utilities committee.
In the letter, Mr. Mack wrote, “We are fully cognizant of the terms of the 99-year agreement devised approximately 20 years ago between city and township leaders. We ask that you revisit the surcharges currently implemented in accordance with the agreement that single out township residents and businesses, specifically in the 208 District.
