RICHARD “DICK” SHEPARD CARPENTER JR.

Richard “Dick” Shepard Carpenter Jr., age 70, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2021 surrounded by his loving family at his home in West Chester, Ohio, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born February 27, 1951, to Richard and Mary Jane (Gliatti) Carpenter in Toledo.

RUSSELL “DEAN” EDELMAN

Everyone has heard the saying, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” In the Edelman circle, we have our own saying, “If it isn’t working, have Dean take a look at it.” As a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, friend or neighbor, when asked, he would pick up his tools, move you aside and repair, replace or improve whatever motor sputtered, wheel wobbled or belt slipped. Dean had a love for all things mechanical and was employed as a governmental inspector with Continental Aviation; later rebranded as Teledyne Corporation.

GEORGE GERALD “JERRY” MERCURIO

George Gerald “Jerry” Mercurio, age 78, resident of Toledo, Ohio, fought an honorable fight against dementia, but lost his battle on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at home, under hospice care, with Sue by his side. He was born on November 11, 1942, in Toledo, to the late Salvatore and Alta (Hunter) Mercurio.

JACK D. SCHLOSSER

Jack D. Schlosser, age 95, of Oregon, passed away March 18, 2021, at the Landings of Oregon. He was born November 10, 1925, in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, to Paul Mattauch and Pearl Elizabeth (Damon) Schlosser. A decorated veteran of the U.S. Navy, Jack proudly served his country in World War II and Korea. He was a former member of the VFW and Jolly Rogers Sailing Club. Jack was a volunteer at Bayview Golf Course. He enjoyed watching and cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

TERRY “STAN” STANFORD

Terry was born July 14, 1964, to Norma and JR Stanford, and entered Heaven Saturday, March 13, 2021. He worked at Sunshine Windows for 20 years.

KASANDRA RUTH FISHER

Kasandra Ruth Fisher, age 73, passed away on March 8, surrounded by family in Poulsbo, Washington. She graduated from Woodward High School in 1965. She had been residing in Poulsbo for the last five years and lived in Toledo prior to that.

CAROL A. HARRIS

Carol A. Harris, age 73, of Toledo’s Point Place community, passed away February 4, 2021, at her home. She was born May 28, 1947, in Toledo, Ohio, to Melvin and Louise (Kurzeja) Pakulski. Carol taught at Fulton Elementary School for more than 20 years. She was an avid reader. Carol loved her dogs and enjoyed traveling.
