Friendship Park Community Center has posted the weekly menu for the community lunches. Guests are asked for donations of $2.50 per meal, and lunch is served at 11:45 a.m.

The following is a list of activities for all at Friendship Park Community Center: •Monday, October 16, computer help, 9 a.m.; shuffleboard, 10 a.m.; lunch, 11:45 a.m.; bingo, 12:30 p.m.; mah jongg, 2:30 p.m. •Tuesday, October 17, lunch, 11:45 a.m.; pinochle, 12:30 p.m.; breakfast at K.T.’s Diner, 10:30 a.m.

A free veterans lunch is scheduled for Thursday, October 19, 12:30 p.m., at Friendship Park Community Center, 2930 131st Street. This is open to all veterans and their spouse or guest.

On Saturday, October 28, from 10 a.m. to noon, a trunk or treat will be held in the Friendship Park Community Center parking lot.

RiverPoint United Methodist Church, 2862 113th Street, will be hosting a craft show and bake sale on Saturday, October 14, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Friendship Park Community Center, 2930 131st Street, Toledo, will be hosting a final farmers market on Thursday, October 26. It will run from 1 to 4 p.m..

A trunk or treat will be held on Saturday, October 14 at the former site of Libbey High School, 1250 Western Avenue, Toledo, from noon to 2 p.m. The event, made possible by Lucas County Children Services (LCCS), Friends of LCCS and more than 50 community partners, will provide a safe, daytime trick or treat experience to local children and families.

Next year much of northwestern Ohio will be in the direct path of a once-in-a-lifetime total solar eclipse. Ahead of the momentous event, the region will experience a partial solar eclipse on Saturday, October 14, and Bowling Green State University is holding free community activities, including a viewing session.

Friendship Park Community Center will hold a free Halloween family dance on Friday, October 13, from 6 to 9 p.m. Free pizza, snacks and refreshments will be provided, along with music and dancing by DJ Ken Campbell.

Park Congregational United Church of Christ will host a youth spaghetti dinner fund-raiser, gift basket raffle and bake sale to raise funds for a mission trip. The eat-in or carryout dinner will be Friday, October 20, from 4 to 7 p.m.
