Nature’s Nursery to offer pet photos with Santa

Nature’s Nursery Center for Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation is raising funds for wildlife care on Sunday, December 3, from 2 to 6 p.m. The community is invited to visit HealthMarkets, 6377 Monroe Street, Sylvania, and have their dog, cat, bunnies, birds or any other household friends and humans visit with Santa for professional photos. Services are provided by 419 Santa and Forks Photography with all of the proceeds benefiting Nature’s Nursery. Reservations are recommended and can be purchased through the events tab at natures-nursery.org/event/santa.

Turkey Chase is November 23

A Turkey Chase 5K run and walk and one mile children’s run will be held in downtown Toledo, at 9 a.m., on Thursday, November 23. There will be hot chocolate, photo wall, Santa village, awards and more.

Lt. Gov. harvests eight-point buck; reminds hunters meat can be donated to those in need

Ohio Lieutenant Governor Jon Husted harvested an eight-point whitetail buck in Morrow County last week with a TenPoint Crossbow. “I love crossbow hunting during the fall,” said Lt. Governor Husted. “The weather is mild, the trees are beautiful, the harvesting of crops is active, the aroma in the air is refreshing and there is so much activity in the outdoors with the animals in the forest actively preparing for winter. It’s peaceful and wonderful.”
