Springfield BOE releases plans for 2020-21 school year
Springfield students eager to be back in classes following the abrupt end of in-school instruction in March soon will be able to return to the classroom - albeit in a different format.
And while many students are looking forward to reconnecting with friends, they will find the plan means a separation from roughly half of their classmates.
At the July 22 meeting, the board of education approved a back-to-school schedule that calls for students in all grades to attend school on alternating days to maintain social distancing amid the pandemic.
