Primary election postponed to June 2
Tuesday’s primary election in Ohio was postponed until June 2 due to fears about voters spreading the coronavirus by interacting at polling places.
On March 16, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose announced they had agreed to postpone Election Day.
The governor said they feared that holding the March 17 election would send a conflicting message from numerous other state announcements discouraging public gatherings.
