Metroparks Toledo approves 2018 budget
At the November 15 meeting, Metroparks Toledo approved a tentative budget for 2018 of $27 million.
Matt Cleland, deputy director/ treasurer, said revenues for 2018 are projected at $23.48 million, adding that $14.3 million is from tax levies.
Other significant sources for revenue are intergovernmental, $7.46 million, followed by other revenue, $700,860; charges for services, $623,755; interest income, $135,424, and fees, $100,000.
In contrast, expenditures are projected at $24.7 million–$ 1.2 million more than revenues. Topping the expenditures are salaries and fringe benefits at $7.76 million and $2.71 million respectively.
