Hucky Blue Too reveals his forecast amid much fanfare

20th anniversary celebration

On a chilly, sunny February 2, Holland Huckleberry Blue Too emerged from his hutch for the first time and forecast “six more weeks of what we’ve been having.”

Charlie and Terri Hoag, “parents” of the little groundhog, announced his prediction to more than 30 people attending this year’s 20th anniversary celebration at the couple’s Springfield Township home.

Prior to Hucky’s forecast, Pastor Josh Plaisance of Holland, above right with the Hoags, gave a blessing of the young cub–adopted last year–and its prediction. “As Hucky Blue Too officially marks the beginning of his meteorology days here in Holland, we ask that you grant him health and a happy life with the Hoags,” the pastor said, adding, “And as we prayed back several years ago, would you allow his reports to be more accurate than the 13 percent accuracy of the two-legged weather people of our region.”
