Holland council approves dollar increase for Holloway Road project
A few additions to the Holloway Road improvement project prompted Holland Village Council to increase the engineer’s estimate by $30,000.
At the August 4 meeting, Tim Bock of Poggemeyer Design Group, explained that increases in quantities for sidewalks and driveway aprons necessitated the need to raise the estimate from $395,000 to $425,000.
“Raising it to $425,000 gets us to a safe zone,” he said, adding that bids could still come in at the original amount but there would be no guarantee.
