Empty halls on a normally busy school day
An eerie episode of the Twilight Zone or just a new reality? The impact of social isolation during the coronavirus outbreak can be seen not just on nearly deserted roads and sidewalks of communities, but inside normally bustling buildings as well.
Springfield Middle School teacher Tyler Haughawout took this photograph for social media with the cutline, “Devastated is an understatement.”
“I think if there is an upside to the crisis, it has truly exposed the bond that exists in our public schools,” said Kristina White, community liaison.
