Marilyn and Clyde Bame
celebrate 35th wedding anniversary
Clyde Bame and Marilyn “Susie” Sheldrick were married June 24, 1973, at Zoar Lutheran Church in Perrysburg.
Mr. Bame is a recently-retired teacher from the Perrysburg High School science department and Mrs. Bame is a clinical dietitian at the Diabetes Care Center at St. Luke’s Hospital.
They have three children, Christina (James) Kieper, Jennifer Bame, both of Perrysburg, and Jeff Bame of Bowling Green. They also have four grandchildren, Austin, Cassi, Jordan and Andrew.
Mr. and Mrs. Bame celebrated their anniversary on Saturday, June 21, with an open house, hosted by their family, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Stony Ridge.
Betty and Dr. George Woods
celebrate golden wedding anniversary
Dr. George and Betty Woods are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married June 26, 1958, at Sharon United Church in Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia, Canada.
They met in Boston, where Mr. Woods was a student at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and graduated with a degree in engineering. Mrs. Woods was a student nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Woods attended the University of Michigan Medical School and is a retired physician.
They are the parents of Lindsay (John Newcomer) and Ian, and the grandparents of David Newcomer.
They will celebrate their special day with family, including those from Canada. back to top
